Our 9-month fully comprehensive training is led by exceptional second- and third-generation instructors, Led by Holly Murrayensuring you receive the highest caliber of instruction. With a transparent, flexible structure that includes a 450-hour apprenticeship and self-paced learning options, you’ll have the freedom to master the method on your terms while embracing a time-honored tradition.

Teacher Training at Pi Pilates Academy

Our program is an in-depth study of the classical material developed by Joseph Pilates. You’ll learn directly from experienced instructors who have dedicated their careers to preserving and advancing the Classical Pilates tradition.

Structure and Content: 600 Hours

  • Four Intensive Weekends:
    Explore every exercise across all apparatus and learn how to integrate these techniques into your practice and teaching—from introductory to advanced levels.

  • 450-Hour Logged Apprenticeship:
    Your apprenticeship is composed of four key components:

    1. Sessions and Classes:
      Engage in teaching sessions and attend classes to refine your skills.

    2. Self-Practice:
      Build and deepen your personal practice.

    3. Observation:
      Learn by observing experienced instructors in live sessions.

    4. Online Learning:
      Access additional content on our online portal, covering topics such as breath work, foot placement, multi-level teaching, and pelvic alignment.

This comprehensive approach ensures you gain the skills and confidence to succeed as a Classical Pilates teacher.

How You Choose to Attend

We understand that every journey is unique. That’s why we offer two flexible options:

  • Goal-Oriented & Date Organized:
    Attend the intensive weekends and follow pre-assigned assessment dates (see website) to complete your training in a structured 9-month period. This option is ideal for those who can commit full-time to the program.

  • Flexible Self-Paced Learning:
    If standard assessment dates don’t fit your schedule, you can progress at your own pace. We offer individualized test-out dates in collaboration with our team—perfect for blending your work life, personal commitments, or parenting responsibilities with your training.

Note: Both options are available to Bridge Participants. If you have previous apparatus training and wish to deepen your classical Pilates knowledge, you can join the program just like a full student. We’ll recognize your prior experience as part of your overall training journey.

Additional Costs

  • Sessions and Classes:
    You are encouraged to complete a total of 60 sessions and classes.

  • Student Discount:
    When you sign up, you receive a 30% Pi Student discount on all classes and sessions.

  • Self-Paced Learning:
    Additional assessment fees apply for those opting for the flexible self-paced route. These fees will be clearly outlined during enrollment.
